As the heatwave continues, I head to the coast whenever I can. Living in South Devon I have so many choices, One of my favourites is in the South Hams, a long sweep of shingle with rolling surf.
The cooling breezes coming off the sea and the spray from the surf made the August heat bearable, Not a cloud in the sky. A few yachts with bright sails scudding across the horizon providing the only distraction from watching the waves.
The laziest of days.
